
Green Beans with Meat
This is Syrian-style green beans with meat: the meat is first boiled with spices, then the beans are boiled in the meat broth. Tomato paste, meat, garlic, and coriander are then added to the pot until the flavors meld and the dish is ready to serve hot.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Green beans
- 200 g Tomato paste
- 400 g Meat
- 4 pieces Asa'is
- 1 bunch Fresh coriander
- 7 cloves Garlic
- 1.5 tablespoons and a half Salt
- Whole black pepper
- 4 pods Cardamom
- Bay leaves
- Ground black pepper
- for covering and boiling Water
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, place the meat and the asa'is, if using, then cover them with cold or room-temperature water.
- In the pressure cooker, after skimming off the foam, add whole black pepper, bay leaves, 4 cardamom pods, and salt to the meat.
- In a pot or on a cutting board, cut the green beans into suitable-sized pieces after washing them beforehand.
- In the pressure cooker, cook the meat under pressure for about half an hour, until fully cooked.
- In another pot, transfer the meat cooking liquid, then boil the green beans in it.
- In the same pot, add salt to the beans and leave them over the heat until they are almost cooked.
- In a bowl, mix the tomato paste with a little meat broth to help it dissolve.
- In the pot, add the dissolved tomato paste to the green beans and leave for about 10 minutes.
- In the pot, add the pieces of meat and the asa'is pieces over the beans, stirring gently.
- In the pot, add the crushed garlic, then add the coarsely chopped fresh coriander.
- In the pot, lower the heat slightly and leave the dish until it takes on the flavor of the garlic and coriander.
