Apple Pie with Cinnamon
A baked pie with an apple and cinnamon filling.
A baked pie made with apples and cinnamon.
Like a classic spiced apple dessert pie.
Let the filling cool a little before baking so the crust stays crisp.

- Apples
- Butter
- Brown or white sugar
- Ground cinnamon
- Pastry dough
- 2 pieces Almonds
- a little Egg yolk
- a little Milk
- a little Vinegar
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the room-temperature butter with brown sugar or regular sugar and ground cinnamon until the mixture is combined.
- On a cutting board, peel the apples, then slice them to an even thickness.
- Spread the butter, sugar, and cinnamon mixture over each apple slice.
- On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, place the coated apple slices, then put them in the freezer for a few minutes until the filling firms up.
- In the oven, preheat the oven to 180 or 200°C with top and bottom heat on.
- On a work surface, roll out the puff pastry dough while it is neither warm nor frozen.
- On a piece of dough, place an apple slice in the center, then pull the four corners toward the center to enclose it.
- On the work surface, shape the pieces with a knife as desired, then place 2 almonds on top if you wish.
- On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, arrange the prepared pieces.
- In a bowl, mix the egg yolk with a little milk and a little vinegar, then brush the tops of the pieces with it.
- In the oven, bake the pieces at 200°C with top and bottom heat on. Place the tray on the lower rack until they color underneath, then raise it if they need color on top.
- In the oven, leave the pieces until cooked through and golden in color.
