Ferrero Rocher Chocolate

Ferrero Rocher Chocolate

This recipe makes Ferrero Rocher-style chocolate bites using filled biscuits, Nutella, roasted hazelnuts, chopped hazelnuts, and white chocolate. The biscuits are mixed with Nutella to form a dough, then shaped into bites and chilled in the freezer. They are then coated with melted chocolate and chopped hazelnuts, chilled again until firm, and served cold.

Homemade chocolate candies inspired by Ferrero Rocher.

Like chocolate truffles with a crunchy nutty coating.

Chill the centers before coating so the candies hold their shape.

Ingredients

  • Nutella chocolate spread
  • 1 cup Roasted hazelnuts
  • half a cup Chopped hazelnuts
  • 200 g White chocolate bar
  • 200 g Filled biscuits

Instructions

  1. In a bowl on the work surface, break the filled biscuits into coarse pieces, leaving them unground rather than finely crushing them.
  2. In a suitable bowl, add the Nutella to the broken biscuits and mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. If the Nutella is firm, place the bowl in a pot of hot water on the heat as a bain-marie until the Nutella softens.
  4. On parchment paper on the work surface, shape the dough into small bites.
  5. Place the parchment paper with the bites in the freezer for 10 minutes, until they hold their shape and firm up.
  6. In a bowl over steam, or in a bowl set over a pot of boiling water on the heat as a bain-marie, melt the white chocolate.
  7. After the chocolate has melted, add the chopped hazelnuts and stir the mixture until the consistency thickens.
  8. Remove the bites from the freezer, then shape them by hand into rounds or small bites.
  9. Coat the bites with chopped hazelnuts, then return them to the freezer for 30 minutes.
  10. After removing the bites from the freezer, dip them in the melted chocolate with chopped hazelnuts, then place them on parchment paper.
  11. Return the chocolate-coated bites to the freezer for an additional 30 minutes, until firm.
  12. Serve the bites cold after removing them from the freezer.
