
Homemade Cooking Cream
This is a homemade cooking cream made with milk, butter, cornstarch, flour, egg white, ashta, and salt. The ingredients are first blended, then cooked over medium heat while stirring until they boil. Finally, the mixture is returned to the blender with the salt and ashta added at the end, until it reaches a creamy consistency. Store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container once it has cooled completely.
A basic cream used for cooking sauces and savory dishes.
Like a simple cream sauce base.
Ingredients
- 2 cups (400 ml) milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 egg white egg white
- 1 container ashta
- half a spoon salt
Instructions
- Place the milk, melted butter, egg white, flour, and cornstarch in a blender.
- Blend the ingredients until completely combined.
- Pour the mixture into a pot over medium heat, stirring continuously.
- Leave the mixture over the heat until it boils and the smell of cornstarch disappears.
- Remove the pot from the heat and return the mixture to the blender after it cools if the blender has a plastic jug.
- Add the salt and ashta to the blender after the mixture has cooled.
- Blend the mixture for about three minutes, until it has a creamy consistency.
- Place the cooking cream in an airtight jar or container after it has cooled completely.
- Store it in the refrigerator.
