
Indian-Style Kebab Tray Bake
A kebab dish baked in a tray in the oven instead of being fried.
A kebab dish cooked on a single tray instead of being fried.
Similar to baked kebabs or kebab patties from the oven.
Ingredients
- 3 pieces (half a kilo) onions
- 2 kilos tomatoes
- half a tablespoon salt
- 2\1 tablespoon black pepper
- 600 grams meat
- 10 pieces pine nuts
- 2\1 tablespoon pepper
- 2\1 tablespoon salt
- as needed green bell pepper
- to taste green onions
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 2\1 cup vermicelli
- 3 and a half cups short-grain rice
- half a tablespoon white pepper
- for every cup of rice = 1 and a quarter cups of water (depending on the type of rice) hot water
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- for garnish parsley
Instructions
- Finely chop the onions and spread them in an oven tray.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the oven tray over the onions.
- Add the salt and pepper to the oven tray.
- Place the oven tray in the oven until the tomatoes and onions are cooked.
- Mix the ground meat with the salt, pepper, and pine nuts in a bowl.
- Shape the meat mixture into pieces or balls, then arrange them over the tomato mixture in the oven tray.
- Add the green bell pepper to the oven tray.
- Return the oven tray to the oven until the meat is cooked and browned.
- In a pot over the heat, melt the ghee, then toast the vermicelli.
- Add the short-grain rice to the same pot after toasting the vermicelli.
- Add the white pepper and salt to the same pot.
- Add the hot water to the same pot according to the type of rice, then leave the rice until cooked.
- Serve the Indian-style kebab with rice and garnish with parsley.
