Mixed Ice Cream

Mixed Ice Cream

A homemade boozah, or ice cream, recipe in two flavors: milk and vanilla, and chocolate. It uses cream cheese with whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla, with powdered milk added to the first mixture and cocoa to the second. Roasted hazelnuts, fruit, or chocolate decorations may be added as desired. The ingredients are whipped while cold, then frozen until set.

Instructions

  1. Whip the cold liquid whipping cream in a bowl until it begins to thicken.
  2. Add the sugar, powdered milk, and vanilla to the bowl with the cream, then continue whipping at medium speed until the consistency is suitable.
  3. Add the tub of cream cheese to the mixing bowl, then whip again until the mixture is smooth and has a thick consistency.
  4. Transfer the first-flavor ice cream mixture to a metal or Pyrex mold, level the surface, and place it in the freezer.
  5. Prepare the second, chocolate-flavored mixture in another bowl using the same quantities, replacing the powdered milk with cocoa.
  6. Whip the cream with the sugar, cocoa, and vanilla in a bowl until combined, then add the cream cheese and finish with a light whip.
  7. If using, add the ground roasted hazelnuts to the chocolate mixture, then stir with a spoon in the bowl.
  8. Pour the chocolate mixture over or beside the first-flavor mixture in the mold, fill any gaps, and gently tap the mold.
  9. Cover the mold with kitchen plastic wrap so that it directly touches the surface of the ice cream, then return it to the freezer until set.
  10. Serve the ice cream in serving dishes after taking it out of the freezer.
  11. If desired, decorate the ice cream with grated chocolate or chocolate sauce.
