Omelet

Omelet

A simple egg dish cooked as an omelet.

Like a plain homemade omelet.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1¼ cups chopped onion
  • 1¼ cups chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried pepper [paprika]
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar

Instructions

  1. Leave the eggs at room temperature in the mixing bowl.
  2. Beat the eggs in the mixing bowl until air is incorporated.
  3. Add the flour to the mixing bowl and mix with the beaten eggs until the mixture is uniform.
  4. Add the chopped onion to the mixing bowl.
  5. Add the chopped parsley to the mixing bowl.
  6. Add the salt, baking powder, ginger, black pepper, and dried pepper to the mixing bowl.
  7. Mix the mixture in the mixing bowl until it has a uniform consistency that is neither too thin nor too thick.
  8. Heat the frying pan over the heat, then add the olive oil.
  9. Move the oil around the pan until it reaches the edges.
  10. Pour the omelet mixture into the hot pan in a circular shape.
  11. Use a ring mold in the pan to maintain the circular shape, if available.
  12. Reduce the heat under the pan so that the omelet cooks without burning.
  13. Turn the omelet in the pan once it has set on the bottom.
  14. Leave the omelet in the pan until fully cooked and it reaches the desired color.
  15. Transfer the omelet from the pan to a serving plate.
