
Omelet
A simple egg dish cooked as an omelet.
Like a plain homemade omelet.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1¼ cups chopped onion
- 1¼ cups chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried pepper [paprika]
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
Instructions
- Leave the eggs at room temperature in the mixing bowl.
- Beat the eggs in the mixing bowl until air is incorporated.
- Add the flour to the mixing bowl and mix with the beaten eggs until the mixture is uniform.
- Add the chopped onion to the mixing bowl.
- Add the chopped parsley to the mixing bowl.
- Add the salt, baking powder, ginger, black pepper, and dried pepper to the mixing bowl.
- Mix the mixture in the mixing bowl until it has a uniform consistency that is neither too thin nor too thick.
- Heat the frying pan over the heat, then add the olive oil.
- Move the oil around the pan until it reaches the edges.
- Pour the omelet mixture into the hot pan in a circular shape.
- Use a ring mold in the pan to maintain the circular shape, if available.
- Reduce the heat under the pan so that the omelet cooks without burning.
- Turn the omelet in the pan once it has set on the bottom.
- Leave the omelet in the pan until fully cooked and it reaches the desired color.
- Transfer the omelet from the pan to a serving plate.
