Ingredients
- 300 g finely ground fatty meat
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- pomegranate molasses
- finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
- a little pine nuts
- tortilla bread
- 150 g to 200 g finely chopped onion
- 15 cm size tortilla bread
- 25 cm size larger tortilla bread
Instructions
- Place 300 g of finely ground fatty meat in the mixing bowl.
- Add a finely chopped onion to the mixing bowl.
- Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt to the mixing bowl.
- Add pomegranate molasses to the mixing bowl.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the mixing bowl.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of coriander to the mixing bowl.
- Add 1/3 teaspoon of black pepper to the mixing bowl.
- Add a little pine nuts to the mixing bowl, if desired.
- Knead the meat mixture well in the mixing bowl until combined.
- Place the tortilla bread on the work surface.
- Take some of the meat mixture and place it on the tortilla bread.
- Spread the meat mixture with your hand over the tortilla bread in a thin layer, covering almost the entire round.
- Heat the frying pan over the heat.
- Place the sfiha round in the frying pan over the heat to brown the underside.
- Transfer the sfiha rounds from the frying pan to a baking tray after browning the underside.
- Turn on the oven using top heat only.
- Place the baking tray in the oven to brown the top and finish cooking the meat.
- Serve the sfiha hot.
