Tortilla Dough
This is a simple tortilla dough made with basic ingredients: flour, water, salt, baking soda, sugar, white vinegar, and olive oil. The liquids are mixed first in a mixing bowl, then the dry ingredients are added and the dough is kneaded on a marble surface until smooth, then left to rest for about 10 minutes. It is then divided into equal pieces weighing 60 to 65 g, rolled out into circles, and cooked in a hot skillet over high heat first, then medium heat, taking care that it does not puff up too much. It yields about 10 pieces and can be stored in the freezer.
A simple dough for making tortillas.
Like basic flatbread dough.
Rest the dough before rolling so it becomes softer and easier to shape.
