Instructions

  4. In a frying pan, heat the oil over high heat first, then reduce the heat to approximately medium.
  5. Heat the Ward al-Sham rose mold in the oil, then dip it into the batter without submerging it completely.
  6. Return the mold to the oil until the pastry forms and turns golden.
  7. Place the pieces on paper towels on a serving plate to absorb the excess oil.
  8. Top the pieces with date molasses, powdered sugar, or carob molasses to serve.
