
Baked Donuts with Strawberry Sauce
This recipe is for oven-baked donuts with strawberry sauce. Strawberries are cooked with sugar and lemon over the heat until thickened, then the donut dough is made with flour, warm milk, melted butter, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla, salt, and yeast. It is left to rise, then rolled out, cut, and baked until golden. After baking, the donuts can be filled with strawberry sauce and served with a glossy coating of honey or sugar, as mentioned in the instructions.

Ingredients
- 500 g Half a kilo of strawberries
- 200 g Sugar
- A squeeze of lemon A squeeze of lemon
- 2.5 cups (400 g) Flour
- 150 ml Warm milk
- 3 tbsp Melted butter
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 Large egg yolks
- 1 sachet Vanilla
- A pinch Salt
- 1 sachet, 11 g (1½ tsp) Yeast
- 3 small Small eggs

- For coating Cinnamon sugar
- For brushing the tops Honey
- For decoration Chocolate
- For the chocolate A drop of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry sauce in a saucepan over the heat by adding half a kilo of strawberries with 200 g sugar and a squeeze of lemon.
- Blend the strawberries, sugar, and lemon until the mixture is smooth or slightly coarse, according to the desired texture mentioned in the instructions.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan over the heat and leave it to boil, stirring continuously until it thickens.
- Remove the strawberry sauce from the saucepan and set aside until it cools and thickens further.
- In a bowl, combine the warm milk with the melted butter, sugar, and yeast until the ingredients dissolve.
- Add the egg yolks and the sachet of vanilla to the bowl, then mix well.
- Gradually add the sifted flour and a pinch of salt to the bowl, and knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Knead the dough well by hand or with a mixer until the gluten develops and it becomes elastic.
- Grease a bowl with butter or oil, place the dough in it, cover, and leave to rise in a warm place.
- After rising, roll out the dough on the work surface to a suitable thickness, then cut into circles, removing the centers from some pieces.
- Arrange the pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, then leave to rise a second time.
- Bake the pieces in the oven until they become golden on top.
