
Cheese and Green Thyme Cake
This is a savory cake with cheese and fresh green thyme. Ingredients
- 5 5 eggs
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon nigella seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup fresh green thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 200 g white cheese
- 1 cup pitted olives
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 cups flour

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees with top and bottom heat.
- In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs with a hand or electric whisk for 3 to 5 minutes, until their color changes.
- In the same bowl, add the yogurt and milk and mix the ingredients.
- In the same bowl, add the nigella seeds and oregano and stir the mixture.
- In the same bowl, add the flour mixed with baking powder and salt, and stir until the mixture is combined.
- In the same bowl, add the olive oil and mix the batter.
- In the same bowl, add the fresh green thyme, white cheese, and olives, and stir the ingredients.
- In the same bowl, add the vinegar and baking soda at the end, and stir the mixture until they react.
- Grease the cake pan with butter and a little flour.
- Pour the cake batter into the cake pan.
- Tap the cake pan twice to release air pockets.
- Scatter a little cheese over the top of the cake batter.
- Place the cake pan on the middle rack of the oven.
- Bake the cake at 170 degrees with bottom heat only for 50 minutes.
- Let the cake cool slightly outside the oven.
- Remove the cake from the cake pan.
- Slice and serve the cake.
