Cubed Cheese

This cubed cheese recipe makes a creamy homemade cheese prepared in a blender with whole milk, ashta, butter, cornstarch, powdered milk, Kiri cheese, and salt. The mixture is cooked over medium heat, stirring continuously until thickened, then poured into a mold lightly greased with oil and chilled in the refrigerator for about 3 hours until set. Serve cold, cut into cubes.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml Whole milk
  • 85 g Ashta
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered milk
  • 2 cubes Kiri cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the whole milk, creamy ashta, butter, cornstarch, powdered milk, and Kiri cheese cubes, then blend the ingredients well for about 2 minutes.
  2. In the blender, add the salt after the first blending, then blend the mixture for about 1 additional minute.
  3. In a pot over medium heat, pour in the mixture and stir continuously without stopping until it thickens and becomes creamy; this takes about 7 to 8 minutes.
  4. In the mold, grease the mold with a little oil to make removing the cheese easier.
  5. In the mold, pour in the cheese mixture once it has thickened, then leave it to cool completely.
  6. In the refrigerator, place the mold for about 3 hours until the cheese sets.
  7. After chilling, remove the cheese from the mold and serve it cut into cubes.
