
Healthy Oat Soup
A light soup made with oats and simple seasonings.
A simple soup made with oats and light seasonings.
Like a creamy breakfast-style soup or a thin porridge soup.
Stir often so the oats do not clump or stick to the pot.
Ingredients
- 1 liter 1 liter chicken stock
- 1 cup 1 cup oats
- 1 leek 1 leek
- chicken breast chicken breast
- carrot
- 50 g 50 g butter
- salt
- pepper
- ginger
- 1 piece onion
- 2 or 3 Maggi cubes
Instructions
- In the pot, clean the leek and finely chop it.
- In the pot, cut the carrot into small, fine pieces, or grate it if it is large.
- In the pot, heat the butter.
- In the pot, add the optional sliced chicken breast with the salt, pepper, and ginger; any other spice mentioned only in the spoken instructions may also be added.
- In the pot, stir the chicken until it is lightly browned.
- In the pot, add the leek and carrot and stir until the vegetables soften.
- In the pot, add the chicken stock and let it come to a boil.
- In the pot, add the oats after it boils.
- In the pot, cover the pot and let the soup boil for about a third of an hour, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
