Like a basic homemade loaf with oats.

Good for breakfast or sandwiches and usually straightforward to bake.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Flaxseed
  • optional Nigella seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yeast with 1 cup of water and leave it until it activates.
  2. In a grinder or suitable food processor, grind the oats.
  3. In the mixing bowl, add the ground oats, whole-wheat flour, salt, flaxseed, and nigella seeds, if using.
  4. In the mixing bowl, add the yeast water first, then gradually add the water while mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
  5. In the mixing bowl, knead the dough until ready, then leave it to rest for about 10 minutes.
  6. On the work surface, divide the dough into small pieces and larger pieces, according to the desired size.
  7. On a surface dusted with farikha flour, fine semolina, or regular flour if unavailable, roll the pieces out with a rolling pin into round shapes of even thickness.
  8. On a baking tray, place the shaped loaves and leave them to rest for another 10 minutes.
  9. On a hot skillet, cook the loaves one at a time.
  10. In the skillet, spray the loaves with water while cooking so that the bread takes on a golden color.
  11. In the skillet, flip the loaf after it has taken on some color, then press it lightly on both sides until cooked through.
