
Chicken Burger with Special Sauce and Salad

A homemade chicken burger served with salad and a special sauce.
Like a classic chicken sandwich burger.
Cook the chicken patty well and keep the sauce balanced so the burger stays juicy.
Ingredients
- 450 grams chicken breast
- half a liter milk
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- half tsp ground ginger
- half tsp white pepper
- 250 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- half tsp salt
- half tsp garlic powder
- half tsp onion powder
- quarter tsp white pepper
- quarter tsp ground ginger
- 250 grams ground chicken
- 1 tbsp fine breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- half tsp ginger
- half tsp paprika
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp liquid hot sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- half tsp honey or sugar
- 100 grams white cabbage
- 100 grams red cabbage
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp milk
- a pinch pinch of salt
- a little butter
- 1 slice Cheddar cheese
- a little water

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the milk with the white vinegar and leave for 10 minutes until it becomes like buttermilk.
- In a bowl, season the chicken breast slices with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and white pepper.
- In a bowl, coat the chicken breast pieces with the buttermilk and leave them to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- In a food processor, grind the second piece of chicken breast until it becomes ground chicken, or use ready-made ground chicken.
- In a bowl, mix the ground chicken with the fine breadcrumbs, egg, salt, white pepper, garlic powder, ginger, onion powder, and paprika.
- In a bowl, shape the ground chicken mixture into burger patties, then place them in the freezer.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the ketchup, liquid hot sauce, mustard, and honey or sugar to make the special sauce.
- In a bowl, mix the white cabbage and red cabbage with the mayonnaise, plain yogurt, milk, and a pinch of salt to make the cabbage salad.
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with the cornstarch, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, and ground ginger to make the flour mixture.
- Heat the oil in the frying pan to 160 to 170 degrees Celsius.
- Remove the chicken breast pieces from the buttermilk, then coat them with the flour mixture in the coating bowl.
- Fry the chicken breast pieces in the frying pan for 7 to 8 minutes, until cooked through.
- In the frying pan, fry the ground chicken patties until they develop color on the bottom, then flip them.
- In the frying pan, place a slice of Cheddar cheese on top of the ground chicken patty, then add a little water and cover the pan until the cheese melts.
- Toast the burger buns in the frying pan with a little butter, or spread them with mayonnaise, as the chef said.
- In the burger bun, spread the special sauce on the bottom, then add the cabbage salad, then place the fried burger piece on top, then add the melted cheese if it is on the patty, then add the top half of the bun with sauce.
