
Italian Tiramisu
A layered coffee-flavored dessert with cream and biscuits.
Like a no-bake coffee cream cake in a dish.
Chill it well so the layers set and the flavors blend.
Ingredients
- 600 ml whipping cream for desserts
- 400 g cream cheese
- 5 tablespoons condensed milk
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla
- 5 egg yolks
- 5 tablespoons coffee or Nescafé
- ½ cup cocoa
- tiramisu biscuits
- ½ tablespoon vinegar
- when serving powdered sugar

Instructions
- Place the whipping cream in the refrigerator, as it must be cold before whipping.
- Separate the egg yolks from the whites, and place the egg yolks in a bowl over a pot of hot water to cook over steam.
- Add the vanilla to the bowl of egg yolks over steam.
- Add ½ tablespoon of vinegar to the bowl of egg yolks over steam.
- Stir the egg yolks over steam in the bowl until their color changes, becoming pale and light in texture.
- Leave the egg yolk mixture in the bowl until it cools.
- Whip the cold whipping cream in a bowl until it holds its shape and has a firm consistency.
- Set aside about 100 ml of the whipped cream in a bowl to use with the cheese.
- Mix the cream cheese in a bowl with the condensed milk and the reserved whipped cream, adding any remaining vanilla if there is any, until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
- Mix the egg yolk mixture with the cheese and cream mixture in one bowl until well combined.
- Mix the instant coffee or Nescafé with hot water in a bowl until ready for dipping.
- Place a little of the cream mixture in the bottom of the serving bowl or baking dish you will use.
- Quickly dip the tiramisu biscuits in the coffee bowl, then arrange them in the dish over the cream layer.
- Place a second layer of the cream mixture over the biscuits in the dish.
- Repeat dipping the biscuits in the coffee bowl and placing them over the cream until the layers are complete.
- Place the remaining cream mixture on top in the dish and spread it evenly.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Sprinkle unsweetened raw cocoa over the top after removing the dish from the refrigerator.
- Add powdered sugar on top when serving, if desired.
