Stuffed Pizza

Pizza stuffed with filling inside the dough.

Pizza made with a filling inside the dough.

  • 1 One egg, for brushing
  • Mortadella
  • Cooked corn
  • a little Milk
  • ¼ spoonful Vinegar
  • Tuna

Instructions

  1. Stretch the dough on the work surface by hand. Those who cannot stretch it by hand may use a rolling pin.
  2. Stretch the dough on the work surface to an even thickness, trying to maintain a round shape.
  3. Make the dough round larger than the baking pan.
  4. Grease the baking pan with oil.
  5. Brush away any excess flour from the surface of the dough before transferring it, so that the dough surface does not crack after brushing.
  6. Drape the dough over your hand or roll it onto itself, then transfer it to the baking pan so that the edges of the dough extend beyond the pan.
  7. Arrange the dough in the pan, ensuring that the overhanging portion is even on all sides.
  8. Mix the cheese with the mortadella in a bowl if you wish to use mortadella; the cheese may also be left on its own without mortadella.
  9. Mix the egg with a little milk and ¼ spoonful of vinegar in a bowl to prepare the brushing mixture.
  10. Brush the overhanging edge of the dough in the pan with the egg mixture.
  11. Distribute the cheese mixture over the overhanging edge of the dough in the pan, using as much as desired.
  12. Pull the overhanging edge of the dough over the filling in the pan, then press it with your fingers to seal.
  13. Continue sealing the stuffed edge all around the pizza in the pan.
  14. Shape the stuffed edge in the pan with your fingers until it is even.
  15. Brush the edges of the stuffed pizza in the pan with the egg mixture.
  16. Spread the pizza sauce over the center of the dough in the pan.
  17. Distribute the cheese over the pizza sauce in the pan, using as much as desired.
  18. Distribute the mixed bell peppers over the cheese in the pan.
  19. Add the corn to the top of the pizza in the pan if you wish to use it.
  20. Distribute the mushrooms over the top of the pizza in the pan.
  21. Distribute the black olives over the top of the pizza in the pan.
  22. Add the tomato slices over the top of the pizza in the pan.
  23. A piece of bell pepper may be placed on the edges in the pan for decoration.
  24. Preheat the oven for 10 to 12 minutes at 220°C, with both the top and bottom heat on.
  25. Place the pizza pan on the lower rack in the oven, not on the oven floor.
  26. Bake the pizza in the oven, monitoring it continuously, until the bottom is cooked.
  27. Move the pizza pan higher in the oven after the bottom is cooked to brown the top.
  28. Remove the pizza pan from the oven once it turns golden.
  29. Sprinkle oregano over the pizza while it is hot after removing it from the oven.
