
Tamari and Kaak

Ingredients
- 2 cups (250 g) flour
- half a cup water
- powdered sugar
- toasted sesame seeds
- tahini
- carob molasses
- date molasses
- banana
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- sesame tahini
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar with the olive oil, salt, water, white vinegar, and baking soda.
- In the mixing bowl, add the flour and knead until a smooth, cohesive dough forms.
- In the mixing bowl, cover the dough and leave it to rest briefly without proofing.
- On a floured surface, cut the dough into small pieces according to the desired size for tamari and kaak.
- On a floured surface, roll the pieces into circles, making them thin or thick depending on the type.
- In a hot skillet, lightly cook only the thick pieces until they take on a light color.
- In the hot skillet, fry the lightly cooked pieces in oil, then transfer them to kitchen paper to drain the excess oil.
- Over the fried tamari or kaak, add date molasses or carob molasses with tahini and sesame seeds.
- Over the tamari or kaak, add powdered sugar.
- If using banana, place the banana inside the piece before rolling it up or serving it.
- On a serving plate, serve the tamari and kaak hot.
