  • 1 piece Charcoal briquette
  • a little Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In the oven, preheat the oven to the highest heat, top and bottom, before starting.
  2. On a cutting board, clean the heads of garlic and separate the cloves.
  3. In a garlic peeler (artemez), place the garlic cloves inside and shake it until the skins come off.
  4. On a cutting board, slice the garlic into thin, as-even-as-possible slices.
  5. On a cutting board, slice the onion into thin, not-too-fine slices.
  6. On a cutting board, cut the red pepper into even slices and remove the seeds and white pith.
  7. On baking trays lined with parchment paper, spread out the garlic slices, onion slices, and pepper slices evenly.
  8. In the oven, place the trays inside, keeping the heat very low or turning the oven off if it is still preheated, and leave the ingredients until they are completely dry with no moisture remaining.
  9. In the oven, watch the ingredients so they do not blacken or burn; slight browning of the onion is acceptable.
  10. Using a spice grinder or mortar, grind the dried garlic until it becomes a powder.
